If one bear holy flesh in the skirt of his garment, and with his skirt do touch bread, or pottage, or wine, or oil, or any meat, shall it be holy? And the priests answered and said, No.
 

2:12 shall it be holy. The questions in Haggai 2:12-13 are dealing with the ceremonial laws of Moses (Haggai 2:11). One such group of laws stipulated that ritualistic cleanness is not transferable.
